 Karl Rove Meets With Lincoln Club Members

Political sage Karl Rove met with a small goup of Lincoln Club members prior to a major speech to the Rebovich Institute of Politics at Rider University.  During an informal conversation, Rove shared stories, offered political advice, and sketched strategically on his signature white boards. In his formal lecture remarks, the pundit offered opinions on the state of the 2012 election and reflected on stories and lessons learned from his years in the Bush White House. But it was during a free-flowing and rambunctious Q & A where Rove really excelled. Years of training in the political trenches!

Who Are the Real Enemies of Social Secuity?

Governor Mitch Daniels, January, 2012

The mortal enemies of Social Security and Medicare are those who, in

contempt of the plain arithmetic, continue to mislead Americans that we should change nothing. Listening to them much longer will mean that these proud programs implode, and take the American economy with them. It will mean coming generations are denied the jobs they need in their youth and the protection they deserve in their later years.

Quote of the Day

"You cannot legislate the poor into prosperity by legislating the wealthy out of prosperity."

* Bring Sean Home Foundation

Who can forget the story of David Goldman? David drove his wife and four-year-old son Sean to Newark Airport for a planned 2-week vacation the wife's parent’s home in Brazil. Shortly thereafter, David's  wife called from Brazil to say the marriage was over, she and Sean were not returning to the US, and if David ever wanted contact with his son again, he would have to sign custody over to her.

David's tortured road to recovering his son and his newfound role as celebrated public advocate on the topic of child abduction has given birth to a new organization, the Bring Sean Home Foundation.
